Too Good to Tip #2

Every item we reuse is a step towards a stronger, more sustainable community. That’s the heart of the Too Good to Tip Market, happening Saturday 15 November, 9am – 12pm at the Whitemark Showgrounds.

Flinders Council, supported by Circular North and in partnership with Furneaux Collective is proud to bring this initiative to life as part of the Garage Sale Trail, Australia’s largest circular economy event. Together, we’re showing how small actions, multiplied across our community, can keep resources in use for longer and out of landfill.

Why Circular Matters

The circular economy is about more than recycling. It’s about rethinking the way we use things:

  • Reuse: Passing on clothes, books, homewares, and furniture so they stay in circulation.

  • Repair: Giving items a second chance instead of discarding them.

  • Reconnect: Building community through exchange, conversation, and shared purpose.

What You’ll Find at the Market

We hope the Showgrounds will be alive with:

  • Fashion and accessories ready for a new wardrobe

  • Books and records with fresh stories to share

  • Toys, homewares, and quirky collectables with plenty of life left in them

  • Small furniture and practical pieces waiting for their next home

It’s about turning what we no longer need into value for others, for the planet, and for our community.

Get Involved

This is your chance to be part of the movement:

  • Book a stall at Too Good to Tip: Clear out your cupboards and give your pre-loved items a second life.

  • Host your own garage sale: If you can’t make it to the Showgrounds, join the Garage Sale Trail by opening your doors at home over two weekends in November.

Together for Change

Too Good to Tip is a celebration of island ingenuity and a reminder that the things we no longer need can still have a purpose. By signing up for a stall or hosting your own sale, you’re helping create a circular economy on Flinders, one item at a time.
