THE ISLANDER WAY PROJECT

    The Islander Way Framework

The journey began as a bold response to the unique challenges posed by the evolving tourism landscape during the COVID-19 pandemic. This endeavour has been a testament to the collective spirit and dedication of our community, contributing over 1,000 hours to the Islander Way initiative.

    ISLANDER Way SUB-PROJECTS

Initially, six key projects were identified to help our community flourish and accommodate visitors. However, as we progressed, we realised these projects were interconnected within a broader system needing change. These six community co-designed projects are pivotal and continually evolving.

    THE ISLANDER WAY STORY

Our stories of place are deeply woven into who we are and what we care about. The stories of this place, through millennia, are what binds us. More recently, the story of the Islander Way has been co-created by the Islanders and Brand Tasmania, and is a window into who we are, why we belong, and the values that guide us.
