During the Islander Way journey, we asked a central question: “What does our community need to thrive and welcome visitors well?”
Our community initially co-designed six key projects in response. Through testing, learning, and evolving together, we recognised that these ideas were not standalone — they were connected pieces of a bigger, systems-level transformation.
As the work matured, the roadmap sharpened into interconnected flagship projects, supported by a broader suite of enabling initiatives outlined in The Islander Way Framework.
These projects continue to evolve with our community at the centre, guiding us toward shared wellbeing, resilience, and a welcoming future for all who live here — and all who visit.
